On October 30, 2007, Whiting Corporation hosted a tour group from the Association for Manufacturing Excellence’s annual conference which was held in Chicago this year. Whiting was chosen as a tour site based upon its Continuous Improvement program which involves multi-functional teams throughout the organization. Whiting also uniquely applies Lean Manufacturing principles while producing a custom-manufactured product for its clients.
