Whiting Completes Nuclear Crane Audit
At the end of January, Whiting Corporation and Whiting Services, Inc., a sister company of Whiting for equipment service, successfully completed a Nuclear Procurement Issues Committee (NUPIC) audit. The audit team included five individuals from three utilities with nuclear power generating capabilities.
Typically, this audit takes place once every two - three years. Because of the preparation for the audit by Whiting, the audit was completed one day early without any nonconformance findings.
The audit verified the effectiveness of the Whiting quality system as it applies to nuclear applications for after market parts, new equipment, engineering and field services. The audit results are accessible at the NUPIC website address of www.nupic.com.
