Whiting Completes Front End Kaizen Training
At the end of April, Whiting Corporation completed a series of training sessions related to the front end Kaizen process. The cross functional participants were trained in such techniques as: need survey and assessment, new developments and innovations in process design techniques, resource planing, and sales tool development.
The preceding process sessions assisted the group in: defining the scope of a process and who needs to be involved; the inputs, process and outputs involved in quantitative metrics and qualitative information; in addition to the value-added versus waste measurements associated with quantitative productivity measures. The training also included the best practices and innovations included in process improvement; in addition to the control that is inherent in the process of attaining actual versus target results.
The preceding series of process redesign workshops are part of the focus at Whiting upon designing processes that continually meet and exceed market expectations.
