Skills and responsibilities:
Work from blueprints, work orders and instructions
Apply water based primer and top coat to metal surfaces.
Prepare metal surfaces for paint application.
Properly disposes of unused paint according to manufacturer and EPA requirements.
Maintain spray equipment (cleans and lubricates).
Apply other types of paint as required.
Use paint spray gun, performs sanding, scraping, grinding and other tools.
Operate a fork truck and all overhead cranes.
Enter work order information through terminals in the shop.
Follow safety guidelines for safe operation of all equipment.
Participate in Continuous Improvement Projects.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Use metal preparation tools, paint spray gun, other painting tools, fork truck, overhead crane.

Job Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalency required.
Minimum 1 - 2 years related experience required.
Experience in crane or heavy equipment manufacturing preferred.
Work in a factory setting; ability to stand 6-10 hours daily, ability to lift <50lbs frequently. Personal protective equipment (PPE) required.
Ability to communicate effectively within the organization on multiple levels.
Basic PC knowledge (ability to operate a keyboard and basic navigation between screens within an application).
