Coil Handling Overhead Cranes
At steel mills and processing centers, steel custom coil handling operations require a 40 ton lift capacity. Whiting has designed solutions specifically for steel handling applications that range between five (5) and sixty (60) tons in lift capacity. Coil Handling cranes may use a variety of below-the-hook devices from simple C-hook attachments to coil lifters with telescoping legs, load sensors, weigh systems, and various means for lifting the coils without damage. Coil Handling cranes frequently have motorized hook rotation and remote controls for ease and speed of orienting the coils. Whiting has designed solutions for all of these applications.
